How to Make CBD Bath Bombs

CBD bath bombs is a new concept of bubble bath. It can have a lot of benefits for your well-being. You can even make one of your own to reduce the cost. Learn how to make CBD bath bombs yourself by following this guide.

How to Make CBD Bath Bombs

In order to make CBD bath bombs, you need to first gather the ingredients. The most important is your CBD. To complete your CBD experience, drink a cup of CBD infused Kona coffee as your body is submerged with CBD and other essential oils.

For this process we will use CBD oil as our main CBD ingredient. We recommend using between 20 mg to 160 mg of CBD. This process will give you around six bath bombs to use.

Bath bomb in the shower

  • Baking soda (1 cup)
  • Citric acid (½ cup)
  • Epsom salt (½ cup)
  • Cornstarch (½ cup)
  • Melted coconut oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Water (1 teaspoon)
  • Lavender organic essential oil  (4 to 8 drops)
  • OPTIONAL: beet juice or gel food coloring preferably red to give your bath bomb color

Tools and Utensils

  • A mold for your CBD bath bomb
  • Disposable gloves
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Whisk

  1. Mix your dry ingredients in a bowl. This includes baking soda, Epsom salt, cornstarch, and citric acid. Mix it thoroughly until it’s smooth. Smoothen out any clumps with your hands.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine your “wet” ingredients which consist of coconut oil, CBD oil, lavender oil, water, and beet juice or gel food coloring if you have one. Mix them together.
  3. Slowly add the liquid mixture into the dry one. Stir as you add slowly. Stir slowly and make sure it doesn’t fizz.
  4. Once properly mixed, place the mixture into the mold for your CBD bath bomb. Make sure to do  this quickly so the mixture does not dry out when you’re pouring.
  5. Make sure to even out the surface because uneven surface might cause cracking. Let your mold sit for about 10 to 30 minutes.
  6. Slowly remove your mold. You can use a cookie sheet to place the mold on. Allow the CBD bath bomb to dry overnight before you use them.
  7. If your bath bombs cracks or crumbles when you remove it, don’t worry. You can pack them back in the mold, spray some water on the cracks or crumble to restore it.

Making CBD Bath Bombs With CBD Isolate

You can also make CBD bombs with CBD isolate. The steps are similar to that with CBD oil except you use CBD isolate as your main CBD.

  • CBD isolate powder (20 mg to 160 mg)
  • Baking soda (1 cup)
  • Citric acid (½ cup)
  • Epsom salt (½ cup)
  • Warmed coconut oil (2 ½ tablespoons)

Tools and Utensils

  • Bowls
  • A mold for your CBD bath bombs

  1. Mix your CBD isolate with warm coconut oil in a bowl. You may also want to add in essential oils that you want to use. Set it aside for now.
  2. In a separate bowl, put and mix baking soda, citric acid, and Epsom salt.
  3. Slowly add your CBD isolate and oil mixture into the dry ingredient bowl mixture. Slowly stir it until the mixture is smooth enough to be molded. If you need extra moisture, you can add a bit of water to help smoothen it.
  4. Prepare your mold and fill it with the mixture. You can fill half of the mold before pressing them together.
  5. Let it sit for 10 to 30 minutes.
  6. Slowly remove your CBD bath bomb and place it on a cookie sheet or parchment paper. Let it dry overnight before use.

People mostly use CBD bath bombs for its calming effect which they experienced when taking CBD. Bathing is also a way to rejuvenate and heal your skin or absorb the CBD to help soothe certain areas in your body.

Here are some benefits of using CBD bath bombs:

How to Use CBD Bath Bombs

You can just drop the CBD bath bombs into your bathtub full of water and let it work its effects. It all depends on how you approach it personally.

Some people like to get in the water and drop the CBD bath bombs and watch it fizzle. Some even play with the bath bombs by holding it underwater or moving it all over the bathtub.

Personally, we just drop the CBD bath bombs in the water and wait for it to dissolve while making CBD tea and some snacks to bring over when bathing.
